저는 카메라를 들고 거리에 나설 때 가장 큰 자유를 느낍니다. 거창한 피사체를 찾기보다, 무심코 지나치는 벽면의 그림자, 오후의 빛이 만들어낸 도시의 질감, 그리고 그 속을 바삐 혹은 느긋하게 살아가는 사람들의 뒷모습에 시선을 둡니다.
제가 지향하는 사진은 강렬한 충격이나 영감을 강요하는 사진이 아닙니다. 대신, 보는 이의 마음에 잔잔한 여백을 남기는 사진이고 싶습니다. 문득 펼쳐보았을 때, "세상은 여전히 이렇게 평온하구나"라는 안도감을 줄 수 있는 그런 사진 말이죠.
특별한 무언가를 포착하기보다, 보편적인 것들에서 발견하는 '느낌 좋은 순간'들을 믿습니다.

Hello, I am photographer Jinho Kim.
I feel the greatest sense of freedom when I step out onto the streets with my camera. Rather than searching for grand subjects, I find myself drawn to the shadows on a wall, the urban textures created by the afternoon sun, and the silhouettes of people moving through life—whether in a hurry or at a leisurely pace.
The photography I aspire to is not about imposing intense shock or forced inspiration. Instead, I want my work to leave a quiet space in the viewer's heart. I hope that when someone happens upon my photos, they feel a sense of relief, thinking, "The world is still this peaceful."
Rather than capturing something extraordinary, I believe in the 'good-feeling moments' found within the ordinary. I hope my photography becomes a place of comfortable rest in your space.
